Changing Lives Through Fitness #TheWatsonFamily

Founder & Owner

Louis Wackett

I have been on my fitness journey for 16 years and counting. From the very first day I stepped foot in a gym I quickly realised I had found my sanctuary, my calling and my home. It is this sense of purpose and feeling of belonging that has driven me for all this time. Bodybuilding, gymnastics, hand-balance, basketball and a variety of extreme sports, participating in these disciplines showed me how powerful and how much of a positive influence getting your body moving an stimulating the mind can have. I wanted the wider public to know that no matter what level of fitness you are currently at you can make a change and we are here to support you along the way.
That is why I wanted to open the gym, to help change lives for the better.
You can find me manning the reception, cleaning the machines or just planning the marketing for the gym. There is no task I ask my staff todo that I won’t do myself, so if you see me about the gym and have any questions please ask.

What’s Your Inspiration?

I often get asked why I wanted to open a gym and what motivated me to take on such a huge responsibility. It was two things:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. I wanted to create a place where literally anyone could feel safe, accepted and happy while improving their quality of life an fitness levels.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. I wanted to build a successful business and actually make a difference. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those two reasons are why I get up everyday and want to constantly improve my gym and business.

Describe Your Training Style

I wouldn’t say I have a specific style of training as over the years I have adapted many genres of training to suit my needs and appropriate goals at that stage in my life.

My clients are always have fun, smiling and smashing goals you could say my style of training is very successful.

What are Your Guilty Pleasures?

Dark Chocolate, Pick N Mix and Call Of Duty.

What Your Best Tip for Reaching Fitness Goals?

My best tip and piece of advice I give regularly is to start off small. Small goals and little changes over time will result in a very positive changes to your life. If you try and change everything at once you will end up being demotivated, overwhelmed and be left in a negative mindset.

Consistency is key.

Be kind to yourself and don’t expect to much of yourself.
